I have 14 years of experience in a multi- modality outpatient facility. I started my career in radiology as an imaging support specialist but quickly grew as an individual and employee. I have full and expansive knowledge of registration, authorization, billing, subpoenas and PACS systems.
I spent three years as an imaging tech aide for our busy inpatient/ outpatient MRI department. I am well versed in magnet safety, patient interaction and physician communication as a result. I then attended Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health Sciences and obtained my Bachelors in Radiologic Sciences while continuing to run my own successful small business.
I managed numerous employees and volunteers while graduating with honors in September of 2019. I also remained an on call status with Solano Diagnostic at this time.
After graduation I returned to Solano Diagnostic Imaging as a full time Employee. I quickly adapted to the fast paced environment, obtained my CRT (F) and (MA) within the first month. I started CT/MRI training.
I am now competent in plain film x-ray, all mammographic procedures, CT, fluoroscopy as well as bone density. I was promoted to Senior Radiographic Technologist and was responsible for physician/ radiologist communication avenues, ACR preparation/ documentation as well as student and new technologist training. I also designed and implemented a new protocol for three separate x-ray departments.
I went on to pick up a temporary position as a grave yard CT technologist where I was solely responsible for off hour emergency support, including trauma response and stroke response. Well versed and comfortable in critical care environments. I was offered a permanent position based on performance.
I started with Marin Health as a supervisor of outpatient radiology. Independent over site of three locations. To include billing, charges, employee schedules and general workflow. This is a involved position where I continued to act as lead technologist.
Shortly after, I was promoted to Assistant Manager of Imaging Services within the same company. This included leadership of hospital services. I have now grown to Manager of OP imaging services with independent leadership of 10 off-site locations.
I am driven. I am an organized leader who focuses on clear consistent communication. I enjoy teaching and have multiple explanation strategies. I am energetic and enthusiastic, I enjoy learning and am looking for my next challenge.
