As a certified SUDC in Utah, I bring a strong foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities, including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and relapse prevention strategies. I excel in building authentic, trusting relationships with clients, meeting them where they are while holding healthy therapeutic boundaries. My strength lies in creating a safe, structured environment that fosters accountability and personal growth.
I’m skilled at conducting individual and group sessions, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care. With a deep understanding of trauma, co-occurring disorders, and the challenges of early recovery, I’m committed to supporting lasting change with compassion, clarity, and consistency.
I have 11 years of experience working in substance use disorder treatment, serving diverse populations across residential, outpatient, and detox levels of care. My background includes facilitating individual and group therapy, conducting biopsychosocial assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans. I've worked closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide trauma-informed, client-centered care, and I’m well-versed in navigating crises, maintaining clinical documentation, and supporting clients through all stages of recovery.
My approach blends structure and empathy, with a strong focus on accountability, rapport-building, and long-term recovery success.
I completed my Substance Use Disorder Counseling (SUDC) education in 2020 through an accredited program at Utah Valley University, where I developed a strong foundation in addiction theory, counseling techniques, ethics, and co-occurring disorders. My training included hands-on practicum experience and emphasized evidence-based practices in both individual and group settings. I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) through Simmons University, further expanding my clinical knowledge and deepening my capacity to support individuals and families through trauma, recovery, and lasting change.
