Originally from Southern California, I moved to New York in 1988. I was recognized early on for my non-traditional watercolor illustrations by both Communication Arts and The Society of Illustrators, and enjoyed over 20 years of professional life in Manhattan, working for an array of clients including Sports Illustrated, BusinessWeek, TIME, Rolling Stone, The Baltimore Sun, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, Scholastic, Inc., and St. Martin's Press.
Since 2006, I have exhibited my paintings primarily at London’s gallery, “Eleven,” and various other venues in the U.S. and U.K. I have collaborated with London shoe designer Camilla Elphick, who used my images on her shoes for several seasons, beginning in 2014. My life-sized Pop-Art rendition of Queen Elizabeth I's "Coronation Portait" entered the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery in London in 2023.
I travel frequently to London, lecturing on art exhibitions for a theatre travel/study program sponsored by the University of Utah.
I recently returned to the east and live near my two grandchildren in the magical woods of Connecticut.
