I have been with PPG / Vitro for all of my career. I started with PPG Industries as a production employee in 1998. I was able to work in each department, while putting myself through school to obtain a Manufacturing Engineering Technology degree.
I graduated from Midwestern State University in 2008, and in 2011 I was invited to join the Tank Process Control Engineering team. Since 2011, I have worked my way up to being the Tank Department Head. As the process owner, I have learned many skills in leadership and honing my coworkers into developing Vitro's leading tank department in safety, training and production.
I have an unique view on leading, having come from production, maintenance, electronic tech, process controls engineer, mechanical engineer, chemical engineer, ceramic engineer, Supervisor of Technical Services (project manager) to currently Float Process Manager, who is in charge of two $100 million furnaces. I currently oversee 100 employees, responsible for their safety, training and production.
I graduated from Midwestern State University with a Manufacturing Engineering Technology degree in 2011. I have also taken numerous classes in making the best glass products, as well as, taking Management Leadership classes to help inspire and lead my department.
