Supported two of Philips’s largest businesses in shaping new propositions in the integrated diagnostics value stream and making an AI manager reporting integration prototype.
- Transferred technology to collect AI feedback to the $1.3M+ Enterprise Informatics business (Radiology and AI Manager products), helping close the loop of AI feedback from customers with business impact of $33M over 5 years.
- Led a prototype implementation to map AI results from DICOM-SR to FHIR resources ensuring AI adoption in practice.
- Spearheaded project of code development by a global, cross-functional team with 20+ contributors.
- Contributed code to the Medical Open-source Network for AI SDK for deploying AI into clinical practice.
- Implemented real-life AI integration scenarios among 13+ top vendors as part of the RSNA Imaging AI in Practice Demo.
- Codeveloped DICOM SR to FHIR Resource Mapping Implementation Guide that had been requested since 2006.
- Established thought leadership in the medical imaging AI community by co-authoring the 153-page IHE AI Interoperability in Imaging White Paper, which provided a comprehensive map of the needs and challenges of interoperable products.
- Influenced the standards on multimedia and Integrated reporting applications using FHIRcast and worklist prioritization profiles, which are integral to interoperable AI Results integration in radiology.
INNOVATION STRATEGY & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROJECT LEADER (12/2020 – 12/2021)
Authored the Innovation Brief, led the IP Generation project, and cultivated a deep understanding of technological trends through presentations at conferences with a team of 26 and a budget of $900k.
- Initiated and guided the first-of-its-kind IP generation project using AI Manager/Marketplace and Ultrasound, resulting in 16 Invention Disclosures and 5 patent applications, which led to winning the IP Award for 2022.
- Identified areas for further research, leading the Enterprise Clinical Informatics Innovation Brief providing an overview of findings and implications with recommendations for strategy and practice to Philips CTO.
- Authored 11+ international conference publications and spoke in 6+ presentations demonstrating thought leadership and collecting important feedback from industry leaders.
- Initiated and led an onboarding team of 40+ that expanded to cover the entire hub (180+ employees) implementing root cause analysis, following best practices to improve effectiveness, resulting in a satisfaction rate of 100% for new hires.

Led data science initiatives within the X-ray business. Supported the first-ever regulatory approval of an on-device AI model, managing multispecialty team globally. Built and deployed top of the line AI models with feedback from out of distribution install-base worldwide.
- Collaborated to develop novel deep learning algorithms including the world's first x-ray device with four embedded AI algorithms generating $1.3M+ annually.
- Created an automated image annotation system completing tasks in one month instead of the projected 31 months.
- Spearheaded team collaboration with European data scientists, producing leaderboard accuracy on CheXpert dataset with 70x less memory, 300x fewer operations, and 5x smaller dataset.
