In my more than 30 years of nursing experience, I have primarily been in a charge nurse role within the Emergency Department. My management style differs from most as I prefer a “hands on approach“. I believe that in order for a department to operate effectively and efficiently while providing an excellent level of care, a supervisor should know their personnel as well as their patient demographics.

I enjoy patient interaction and have found that the outcome of treatment is generally far greater when a patient feels that you are invested in their care.
