Kimberly Evans

I have been Sterile Processing for 7 years. I am HSPA certified, have my BLS and am up to date on Covid vaccine. I have excellent knowledge of department flow beginning with Decon, thermal washer, assembly and inspectio, prep and pack, and sterilization of steam and Sterrad.

I am well versed with general trays major and minor, manual lap, DaVinici Robotics, major / minor orthopedics included Stryer’s Mako, hands and feet, hips and shoulders, L & D, cardiovascular, all women’s surgeries and eyes.

I began in 2017 as uncertified , certified in less than a year In a smaller facility until 2020. I progressed to a very large facility for women and babies. I grew leaps and bounds. I currently work in a 400 bed facility with approximately 50 cases per day with a vast variety. This facility is where I grew the most regarding IFU’s, censitrac computer system for tray list, printed tags, and loaner trays,

In 2017 I changed career because I wanted to do more meaningful work. I relied on my manager’s and co workers to teach me at each facility because they were different from each other. completing the HSPA course had been the best source. I enjoy in person seminars for the most up to date standards and all things new. I do also enjoy on line classes for CEU’s.
