Kirk Adair

As a recent ASU graduate, I would like to enter into the Design Engineering industry. I obtained my CSWA (Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate) from ASU and I find the Design Engineering industry interesting. I am also interested in the fields of Data Sciences , Engineering and Medical Manufacturing. During my time at ASU I took some classes that helped me gain some skills.

These skills are: GD&T, Blueprint reading, processing and creating readouts, and making many reports and analysis for projects and drawings.

• Utilized Instron on multiple machines to measure and record: shear, tension, crack propagation, and compression, for multiple materials.
• Ensured engineers by using STP and SOPs on machines to perform experiments
• Utilized rulers, calipers, flat-flat and flat-ball tools to measure materials precisely and accurately.
• Prepared experiments with special chemical and bonding agents to adhere measuring devices for vertical and horizontal strain.
• Utilize ASME Y14.5 standards and apply them to fabrication and assembly drawings to be used by other departments.
• Design fabrication parts and assemblies using SolidWorks (AutoCAD software).
• Prepare and review fabricated parts and assemblies with the engineers via Microsoft teams.
• Ensure with engineers that all final designs comply with ASME Y14.5 standards and the quality set by the company.
• Utilize communication programs such as Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook for communication between engineers as well as other team members.

Mathematics were a strong suit so I went into the field to discover my talents and hoped to learn more than what I already know
