- Contacted Blue-printing sessions to gather requirements across various business units in ExxonMobil (Hydro-Carbon Value Chain, Non-HVC, Transportation, etc), and steered the discussions in a way, business requirements can be easily formulated to perform Fit and Gap analysis to build Requirements Traceability Matrix.
- Implemented Core Capture, created multiple IES profiles, provided invoice pre-training plan for complex hydro-carbon invoices.
- Liaised between the implementation partners (Deloitte & SAP) and the client (ExxonMobil) in several key decisions for transforming the existing multiple SAP boxes (NAPES/IPES/STRIPES/XTO etc.) into two (U4 and P4).
- Identified and presented SAP clean core assessment along with the POV's for several WRICEFs without which Deployment-1 cannot be possible in the Accounts Payable area. Among the critical wricefs are VIM integration with SAP CPE (Commodity pricing engine) for provisional to final price scenarios, VIM Posting BAPI modifications, Auto-matching with incoming HVC invoices, Auto-posting efficiency Improvements, Integration with Thomson & Reuters' OneSource for Validating Indirect Tax, complex approval
- Re-designed the out-of-the box VIM BDC's and BAPI's to potentially automate the invoices for handling CPE (price fluctuation) PO based invoices, and Non-PO invoices.
- Worked closely with the in-house as well as external developers to accommodate for the complex sequence of calls that have to be made to the external tax calculation engine (Thomson & Reuter's ONE SOURCE) in order to calculate the indirect tax on vendor invoices.
- Heavily involved in meeting the existing deliverables (various WRICEF functional documents, configuration documents, Process design documents), along with making key decisions on the ever-evolving CPE-VIM integration.
- Made Key decisions integrating the highly complex SAP's Commodity Pricing Engine (CPE) module with VIM for handling primary product invoices for Hydro-Carbon Value Chain.
- Configured close to 42 VIM exceptions (17 PO/TM-based DP document type, 14 non-PO document type, and 11 Down Payment invoices) in VIM 23.4 SP1 with SAP S/4 HANA, out of which 15 custom exceptions were created with custom function modules.
- Implemented all latest Open Text Fiori apps including Capture Validation Workplace, Accounts Payable Workplace, Business Center Workplace, Invoice Reporting etc.
- Provided several Customer Enhancement Service (CES) requests to SAP and Open Text on the identified product gaps (because of which few additional features were released in Open Text VIM Invoice solutions.
