I am very motivated, detail-oriented, organized and self-driven. My education and background gave me the opportunity to develop the skills techniques as ELISA, Western Blotting (WB), Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation, Thin Layer Column (TLC), Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), DNA and RNA extraction, Real Time PCR, siRNA assay, cells culture and parasite culture (Toxoplasma gondii), in vitro infection assays; retinal mice images (Fundus, OCT and Fluorescein) using the Phoenix Micron IV;
experience in tissue mice's collection, and intraperitoneal mice injection of drugs. I feel comfortable working about these topics and any other related.
I have been working as postdoc since November 2021 with Dr Jaya G-Prakasam at Department of Ophthalmology in the Saint Louis University. The projects are about iron metabolism in ocular and liver diseases (in vitro and in vivo); and I was a postdoc from November 2018 to October 2021 of Dr Rubens Belfort Jr. at Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences in the Federal University of São Paulo. The projects were about the characterization of extracellular vesicles (EVs) isolated from different samples from patients with ocular diseases and the main objective was the discovery of new biomarkers and / or new drug targets.
Apr/2017 and Nov/2018 (time frame between the PhD and the first Postdoc) I have worked as a Pharmacist at one Hospital and at 2 ambulance companies in São Paulo, Brazil. I was a Graduated Research Assistant from Mar/2013 to Apr/2017 of Dr Ana Claudia Torrecilhas at Department of Infectology in the Federal University of São Paulo. Before my PhD (between Sep/2009 until Feb/2013) I have worked as a Pharmacist at the Public Health in São Paulo, Brazil.
