Kother Islami

I am currently in my last year at the University of Texas at Arlington pursuing a degree in Marketing and Management and graduate May 2023.

I have experience as a Sunday School Teacher at Imam Ali Mosque, where I created and implemented educational activities that promote learning and development. As a Mall Kiosk Worker at Sweets n Things, I provided exceptional customer service and ensured that all surfaces were frequently sanitized to prevent the spread of germs.

My internship experience at Lakewood Elementary School allowed me to create and present engaging English lessons to third grade students, while also identifying and addressing their individual learning needs. I am also a member of the Board at the Arab Association at Imam Ali Mosque, where I have adapted to COVID-19 by hosting virtual meetings that encourage religious and cultural awareness, organized events to raise money for Middle Eastern countries, and led a team building group to improve morale.

In addition to my experience, I am fluent in Arabic and Farsi and have knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
