Igniting Lives assists in maintaining quality control within the profession by ensuring that future professionals are entering the field competent.
Co-Owner and operator of a boutique educational consulting firm specializing in academic intervention, school and college counseling, and special needs advocacy. Additional services include small group academic workshops and pandemic learning pods for grades K-8. Directly responsible for managing a practice of 10 reading intervention clients, hiring and placing teachers in tutoring roles, and running and managing firm financials via Quickbooks.
Directly responsible for creating and implementing IEP’s for middle school students. Responsible for consistent and prompt communication between parents, students, and faculty. In charge of delivery of services to middle school students during the academic day. From a perspective, middle school families are directly involved in the admissions process.
Utilizing my special education background, I worked with students across all academic areas. I assisted in developing specific educational goals for the students and carefully monitored student progress to ensure the completion of these goals.
I was directly responsible for managing over 60 students from 6th-8th grade in math and science. I was committed to providing them with a unique, hands-on learning experience that followed the best practices in the field. I attended regular professional development meetings and worked closely with my grade-level team members to learn and grow professionally.
