Kristina Vittone

I am highly motivated and driven to achieve all my life goals. I enjoy learning new things; therefore, I value the knowledge I have gained through my education and life experiences. I have a passion for mental health and insist on improving my own in every way.

I am a Capella University student working towards my Bachelor's in Psychology Pre-Counseling. However, my career goal is to become a therapist and graduate with my Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision. I have worked for six-plus years in one of the busiest Emergency Departments from Seattle to San Francisco to reach my career and educational goals.

A career opportunity that drove me to continue my education in healthcare with a main focus on mental health. I have a passion for mental health and stereotypes' effects on society. Therefore, by becoming a therapist, I hope to provide the support and education needed to avoid societal prejudice and negative stereotypes.

I am a certified healthcare access associate with six-plus years of healthcare experience, working in the emergency department as a registration specialist. Among my healthcare experience is ten-plus years of customer service.

I am a Capella University student working towards my Bachelor's in Psychology Pre-Counseling. I graduate in the Summer of 2024 with my Bachelor's degree, yet I will continue my education, working towards my Master's degree.
