Project: Characterization of human innate immune proteins GBP2 and GBP3

• Investigated how human guanylate-binding proteins coordinate nucleotide binding, hydrolysis, conformational change, self-association, and membrane interaction to regulate cell-autonomous immune function.
• Developed and performed biochemical assays to measure GTPase activity, nucleotide binding and protein-lipid interactions across multiple constructs and mutants.
• Used MALS, SAXS, mass photometry, DLS, and CD to define molecular weight, oligomeric state, conformational heterogeneity, and solution behavior.
• Integrated biochemical, biophysical, and structure-informed analyses to interpret weak or transient interactions and technically challenging protein behavior.
• Contributed to manuscript writing, conference presentations, and grant-supporting data reports.
