Expertise in data journalism, arts & culture writing and breaking news coverage
In my studies at Loyola Marymount University, I expanded my media tool belt to become a multimedia journalist. During my time at the Los Angeles Loyolan, I have written 109 articles and 59 interactive graphics. This coverage largely covered topics such as labor rights movements, local features and data journalism analyzing university spending.
At the Loyolan, I’ve introduced a wide array of interactive storytelling tools that expanded the publication’s digital presence. This journey has sharpened my ability to expand the bounds of multimedia coverage, work under tight deadlines and improve my writing. While at this publication, I have produced content for every desk with my multimedia skills to create engaging digital content and expand audience reach.
I recently graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelors of Arts. I majored in Journalism and minored in Film, Television and Media Studies. During my time in undergrad, my journalistic work was awarded top prizes in eight national and regional competitions including LA Press Club's National Arts & Entertainment Awards and Columbia Gold Circle Awards.
