My name is Lael Dabney, and I graduated from The Ohio State University in August of 2024. I received my Bachelor of Science in Evolution and Ecology. I am interested in wildlife biology, evolution, ecology, laboratory work, and fieldwork. I love all types of animals and am keen to learn as much as I can through jobs and opportunities before I return to academia to pursue my Master's and/or PhD.
In the past, I have worked as a curatorial assistant and volunteered as a research assistant. I worked in the OSU Museum of Biological Diversity for both positions. As a curatorial assistant in the mollusk department, I maintained and rehoused specimens, did photography work, and organized and maintained the collection. As a research assistant, I did data analysis and organization, some laboratory work, and was published on a couple of projects.
I started my academic career at the University of South Florida before transferring to The Ohio State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Evolution and Ecology.
