Dental public health (DPH) specialist (DDS + MPH + DPH residency) with 20 years of experience in public health, including active surveillance, community-based program planning, implementation, and evaluation, value-based care models, and research.
Dental Public Health Specialist with a strong foundation in both clinical dentistry and public health. I have experience providing care in urgent care settings and managing medically complex and underserved patient populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness and severe mental illness. My work spans interprofessional education, community-based program development, workforce training, and oral health policy.
I’ve led initiatives to integrate oral health into primary and behavioral health systems, contributed to national dental public health workforce development efforts, and participated in local and state legislative advocacy to promote oral health equity.
I hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and a Master of Public Health (MPH), with dual residency training in Dental Public Health from the University of California, San Francisco and Harvard School of Dental Medicine. My education has focused on clinical dentistry, community health, health policy, and leadership in public health practice.
