I am a freelance sub-contracted ASL/English interpreter. I am passionate about facilitating communication in a way that matches the consumer's preferred style and adapting to the situation at hand. I believe that interpreters bridge the gaps of languages, cultures, and thought worlds.
I have a B.A. degree in Theology as well as an A.S. degree in ASL/English interpreting and am currently working on acquiring National Interpreter Certification.
Lauren Jackson brings a diverse and robust professional background to the field of ASL/English interpreting. Previously, as a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor at Cintas Corp in Lexington, KY (06/2015–08/2019), Lauren led hiring, training, and operations for a fast-paced production team, ensuring productivity, safety, and OSHA compliance. Earlier, as Warehouse Manager at White’s Flooring Depot in Paris, TX (07/2012–08/2013), Lauren managed over $200,000 in inventory and a small team, achieving 100% audit accuracy and driving operational improvements. This blend of leadership, communication, and training experience underscores Lauren’s readiness to excel as a professional interpreter.
Lauren Robert Jackson earned an Associate of Science in ASL/English Interpreting from Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2025, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. During his studies, Lauren completed a hands-on interpreting internship at Interpretek in Jacksonville, FL (01/2025–04/2025), where he developed proficiency in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting under the guidance of a mentor. He facilitated accurate and culturally sensitive communication across diverse settings, enhancing adaptability, ethical decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
Lauren’s exceptional performance was recognized with the FSCJ Medal for Exceptional Service Learning and the FSCJ Highest GPA Award in the ASL/English Interpreting Program, highlighting his academic excellence and dedication to the field.
