Hello, my name is Lauren Peterson and I am currently a freshman enrolled at Virginia Tech. I am studying Biochemistry with a focus on becoming a Physician's Assistant. I enjoy working in patient care and hope to work in pediatrics some day.
Over the past five years, I have worked in patient care, food service, and music ministry. During my senior year of high school, I worked as a nurse's assistant, shadowing in different departments of Chester County Hospital in Westchester, Pennsylvania. In addition, after each week of shadowing, I would write a detailed six page reflection on my experiences.
After earning my GED at Bishop Shanahan Catholic High School in Downingtown, PA, I enrolled at Virginia Tech. Here, I am majoring in biochemistry with the hopes of attending a two to three-year Physician's Assistant program post-undergraduate.
