A Career Environmentalist for 20+ years, I seek clean energy project / program and/or documentation / contract, research, customer service, and/or paralegal / legal assistant work full- or part-time in metro Boston.
While majoring in Comparative Literature at Simmons College, I studied the human condition and the world around me. Working during school as a program manager at the Social Investment Forum and Ceres, I developed an interest in social and environmental justice. I volunteered every weekend for a year at the Watertown Recycling Center to learn about the recycling industry when I was hired as a Recycling Coordinator at Ionics, Inc., now GE Water & Processing Technologies.
From these experiences--and my education beyond Simmons--I evolved into a "career environmentalist" and have been employed in everything from recycling, reuse, and waste reduction to green buildings and energy efficiency to global warming, climate change, and clean technologies.
My most ardent passion is clean energy--specifically, wind power. I am honored to have provided support to wind power risk hedging company REsurety as the team's Administrator; as wind power modules provider Bachmann electronic Corp's Administrative Assistant / Turbine Modules Processor / Shipper; and Project Administrator, US & UK Projects (previously Business Development Administrator) at Wood Thilsted US.
Expanding on my administrative and customer service and support skills, I took online courses in wind energy and human resources on / off boarding and recruiting; earned a Paralegal certificate (GPA: 4.0) from Boston University as of October 2018 and completed my MassCEC graduate certificate in Clean Energy & Sustainability at UMass. Boston in 2019. As of July 2022, I have completed the Offshore Wind Professional Certificate at UMass. Amherst, also through MassCEC.
