This internship was earned through a two year program through the Milwaukee Bar Association, and Marquette Law School. The program consisted of gaining exposure to different careers and opportunities within the legal field, learning how to effectively construct a legal argument, and learning case analysis. These skills were then translated to my internship where I was able to gain firsthand experience working at a law firm, sitting in for meetings with legal professionals, and viewing court proceedings.

SYI Intern - Reinhardt Boerner and Van Deuren Law Firm

CEO Internship - TRUE Skool (nonprofit)

Developed personal and professional skills, learned how to create a business plan/model, how to pitch a business, networking skills, created a portfolio including a potential business concept, headshot, resume, and business card. Helped plan events and develop advertisements for TRUE Skool's social media. Met professionals in creative fields, and local entrepreneurs, gaining first hand experience with possible career opportunities for the future.

Through this internship I was able to attend a week long leadership training through the Midwest Academy, gaining knowledge and experience when it comes to community organizing. The training taught various strategies for effectively engaging members of the community, coalition building, and vision and power analysis.

Play Leader - Milwaukee Recreation - Milwaukee

Worked at two Milwaukee area park locations, Burnham Park and Whittier School, with other young people working to make the summer enjoyable for Milwaukee's children. This program offers free meals to children, serving lunch and dinner, provides them with access to sports equipment such as a football or soccer ball, free books, free field trips, and free activities like roller skating, arts and crafts, and video games.

Receptionist - Beulah Brinton Community Center

Regularly interacted with members of the community by educating people on the various classes and programs available at Beulah Brinton Community Center as well as signing them up for said classes. I regularly kept score recreational sports leagues, such as volleyball, as well as helping to clean and organize the center.

Guest Services - The Rock SnowPark (now Crystal Ridge)

Patrolled and supervised the ski hills, assisting guests with any of their needs, as well as scanning tickets to make sure they were still valid using RFID technology. Made sure guests were using equipment properly, and were being safe on the ski hills.
