In Spring of 2025 I will graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with two Masters degrees in Library Science and History. I am a humanist with a passion for sharing knowledge and making it accessible to all. I specialize in Milwaukee history, and I am an aspiring author on the subject. I am a hard worker who holds herself to high standards. I love working with the public and creating relationships within my community.
I worked in customer service for four years as a barista at Colectivo coffee from ages 18 to 21. In this position, I developed advanced customer service skills, and honed myself into an efficient worker in fast paced environments. In college, I worked as a Digitization Student at the American Geographical Society Library.
In this position, I worked to digitally preserve and make accessible hundreds of rare maps dating back to the 1600s. This job gave me a deep respect for the cultural heritage of humanity, and helped me develop skills working with rare, fragile materials. I also worked for two years as a Reference Intern at the American Geographical Society Library.
In this position, I answered reference questions, conducted reference interviews, taught library instruction sessions to classes of all ages, processed archival collections, created exhibits, and ran social media for the library. I also worked for four years as a research assistant to Dr.
Seligman.
Dr. Seligman and I created several public facing history projects on Milwaukee history.
In 2018 I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with a degree in History. In May of 2025 I will graduate with two Masters degrees in Library Science and History.
