: I am an adaptable leader with 22 + years military service, 17 years as a machinist / welder, and 11 years as a manager / supervisor, overseeing the machine section at Moffett FAF. My career started in Active-Duty Air Force as security and law enforcement. Though, my creativity and passion revealed when I continued my military career with the Air National Guard and found Metals Technology.
I have worked my way up from an entry level welding position, to shop supervisor within 6 years, and have maintained that position for the last 11. I am a veteran, and soon to be United States Air Force Retiree, seeking my next adventure that leverages my expertise, while building upon my skills in this field. I am well-equipped for a variety of leadership roles in the private sector, especially in manufacturing or engineering.
I hold an active security clearance and am willing to travel.
As the Air Force Aircraft Metals Technology section lead, I oversee and manage all operations related to the fabrication, repair, and modification of metal components for aircraft and support equipment. Responsible for leading a diverse team of highly skilled machinists/welders, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to meet mission demands. My day-to-day involves coordinating work schedules, inspecting the quality of repairs, and troubleshooting technical issues that arise during production.
I collaborate with other maintenance sections and engineers to ensure aircraft safety, serviceability, and operational readiness, while maintaining strict adherence to protocols and Air Force standards.
