Luke Schlender

Before the Fall semester of 2021, I was accepted into the Applied Equity Market Research (AEMR) class. I was excited to build upon my finance and accounting technical skills, primarily due to my experiences in Capital Management Club (CMC). I particularly enjoyed the training sessions and stock pitch competition, where my team placed 1st amongst all competitors.

My involvement in CMC and Finance & Investment Society, and courseload spearheaded my passion for financial analysis. One class I took was Accounting 603: Financial Statement Analysis. I worked on a semester-long project on General Mills, applying DCF, ROPI, and DDM valuation models to generate a buy recommendation.

I am seeking a full-time corporate financial analyst position in the greater Chicago area to start my career in 2024. I am inspired to derive meaning from numbers and ratios, forecast trends, and work cross-functionally to create value and spur action.
