Waitress at Washington Street Food and Drink Company (2019-10 – 2020-08)

Hostess/Server at Paulo and Bill (2020-10 – 2022-08)
I am the face of the front of the house. Tasked with greeting customers and organizing high volumes of people. I use my free time to clean tables and assist any coworker that may need it. As a server I am tasked with making our guests feel like they are receiving an upscale dining experience while still giving them the personalized feeling you want with a single location, long standing restaurant. This job has allowed me to gain many regulars that trust me to give them a great dining experience.
Server at Drunken Fish (2021-05 – 2021-09)
As a server at this location I was taught to handle large amounts of customers at once while also ensuring they feel taken care of and enjoy their meal. I learned all about sushi, nigiri, sashimi, as well as the Japanese names for our seafood products. I was the primary patio server making me very comfortable with outdoor sections large or small.
Server/Supervisor at Ra Sushi Bar & Restaurant (2022-08 – 2023-07)
Working as a server at Ra has allowed me to continue using my sushi restaurant knowledge and work my way up to a supervisor position. As a server I was tasked with pushing the sale of cocktails, starters, and specialty sushi rolls- I became a top server in just 2 months by using my knowledge of seafood flavors to help guide guests to which sake/cocktail and roll pairing they'd enjoy most. As of late January 2023 I was promoted to a Supervisor position, this requires me to open the restaurant and overlook morning/lunch shifts as the only manager on duty.
I am able to handle money/safe counts, enter checkouts/orders/money counts into excel, receive and make orders to stock multiple areas of the restaurant, as well defuse any problems a guest or employee may have. Supervising has allowed me to learn multiple positions in the restaurant including hostess, bartender, dishwasher, and a few lessons on sushi rolling.
Server/Bartender/Supervisor at Johnnys Tavern Prairie Village (2023-08 – 2024-06)
Working At Johnnys Tavern gave me my first taste of the service industry in a sports bar setting. I enjoy high volume and fast paced restaurants making a sports bar the perfect place for me. As a server I was tasked with making sure all my customers had a fresh drink, a snack, and a clear table.
I like to prioritize making my tables feel comfortable whether that be chatting about their life, giving them quiet time to relax with a beer, or simply prebussing their table to give them a little space. When it comes to bartending I enjoy having my customers within eye sight so I am able to do my running sidework, chat with regulars, or help other coworkers while still knowing where all my customers are. Supervising is something I enjoy because I am able to help all coworkers in almost every aspect of the restaurant which helps everything run smoother.
Server/Bartender at Brewbakers Bar & Grill (2024-07 – 2025-08)
Working at Brewbakers as a server I am required to handle a large influx of tables within a short amount of time as this restaurant is popular for sports games. Many long time regulars frequent this establishment and expect top notch service with a personal feel. Bartending here has allowed me freedom to experiment with my own cocktail ideas while also learning tricks for the classics.
The fast paced environment has made me more skilled to handle many bar guests at once and keep track of orders/tabs during rush times.
Server/Bartender at Smoke Brewing Company (2025-09 – Present)
Working at Smoke Brewing as a server I am in charge of greeting, educating, and tending to our customers in a very family style way. Being a locally owned family restaurant I emphasize making customers feel at home while still providing them with professional top notch service. I am responsible for training most new servers due to my hardworking attitude and knowledge of the food and drinks.
As a bartender at Smoke brewing I tend to customers at the bar as well as run the well. I was required to get my Cicerone Beer Server Certification so I am knowledgeable in almost all types of beer. Closing the bar and doing end of night money is a duty I have multiple times a week which includes wiping down all metal and surfaces behind the bar, deck brushing, obtaining/counting server money for checkouts, making sure all nightly server/kitchen/bar duties are completed, and count the drawer at the end of the night.
We have a rotating cocktail menu that I am able to memorize and perfect quickly.
