Macy Atkin

My name is Macy Atkin, I am from Utah and I am a Freshman at SDSU. I am an experienced double certified lifeguard with Red Cross and Starguard certification. I had a 3.8 GPA and 4.0 CPA. I was an AP scholar, a National Honors Society Member, a Ticktocker Leadership Council member for My National Charity League Chapter, and I was an A.V.I.D. program ambassador for Skyline High school.

I created and organized a donation drive for my school and charity chapter, an am passionate in giving back to my community. I am excited to start my journey at SDSU and see what oppurtunities I gain from it.

Swim and Tennis Club Lifeguard at Salt Lake Swim and Tennis Club (2024-01 – Present)

Lifeguarded for a membership exclusive pool, with a Red Cross Certification. Guarded during all hours of the day, including during the Club's kids camp swim hours. Kept the pool clean by performing various tasks and provided first aid as needed

Salt Lake County Lifeguard at Salt Lake County Sports Complex (2024-01 – Present)

Lifeguarded for a county pool, with a StarGuard Certification. Provided first aid regularly, and cleaned as needed.

Day Camp Leader at Tahoe Donner (2026-01 – 2026-12)

Lead the age group I was assigned to, and was the top counselor for that group. I was responible for making sure each kid was safe and having fun. I was in charge of making sure activies were completed on time, the bus schedule was updated and ensuring that an accidents were reported and managed. This postion required significant patience and organizational skills, and leadership skills

Nanny at Hart Family (2026-01 – 2026-12)

I took care of two young kids (6&8). I was their caregiver after their day camp had ended. I would take them to the beach, pool, or a museum. Where ever they wanted to go we would go. Their parents relied on me to make sure they were happy and fed with nutritious foods.
