Magdalena Macias-Marquez

Hi, my name is Magdalena Macias-Marquez and I'm 24 years old. I'm Mexican-American and I speak both English and Spanish fluently, I'm bilingual. I was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and raised in the beautiful city of Tyler, Texas.

I love to put in hard work in order to gain the best results of tasks that must be done and I recognize that I'm very quick-witted to handle situations that require me to react quickly and with precaution. I'm also very understanding and like to keep up with great communication always, for it is a very important part on being human with others around me.

I have had previous customer service experience while I was going to college in these two jobs that I have had.

I worked at Texas Roadhouse for a 1 year and 6 months in Tyler, Texas. These are the tasks that I would do there as a host:

• Using a computer in the host stand to add customers to the waitlist.

• Receiving phone calls from customers and talking on the phone in a friendly manner.

• Greeting kindly to customers coming in and assisting them to their tables.

• Helping customers with anything they may need.

• Updating the seating chart from the computer to lower the number of customers on the waitlist.

• Maintaining workspace clean and neat.

• Stocking items such as western apparel, cowboy hats, boots, belts and accessories in women's, men's, and kids' section.

• Make sure merchandise is well organized and clean looking.

• Sometimes even helped at the check-out area at a cash register to check-out customers, due to being sometimes short staffed of cashiers.

• Helping out customers with any questions that they have.

• Take out the trash from the restrooms, the breakroom, the trash can outside the front door, and offices.

• Sweep the floor in any area inside the store.
