Production and Operations Manager - Puppet Co.

As the current Production and Operations Manager of the Puppet Co. in Glen Echo, Maryland, I am able to successfully balance the administrative and public facing aspects of the job, while also keeping track of the artistic and technical aspects of theater. Through my years at the Puppet Co., I have created and maintained events and activities within the space, from developing and marketing a show season to scheduling a daily staff of employees, interns, and volunteers. I have developed strong relationships with staff and patrons, becoming a cornerstone of establishing company culture both internally and externally, but the most gratifying part of this position has been the ability to see my efforts contribute to children discovering a love for art and performance: from a high-school intern finding joy in backstage tasks, to a toddler experiencing their first show and being fascinated by the puppets as they get to look at them up close.

These experiences remind me of what it was like to be developing that passion for myself.
