Marcin Szymanski

Currently working at Brookfield Ametek in Middleborough, MA as Manufacturing Manager where we build Viscosity Measurement Equipment. I've been with the company for 5 years, but have been working in management/operations for over 14.

One of my passions is continuous improvement and working with process owners to build better business practices. I've been successfully helping businesses reduce their costs and increase their revenues through lean manufacturing principles.

My other passion is beekeeping. I've started my first hive 7 years ago, completely clueless about what I was getting myself into - pre-ordered some bees, purchased a flow hive, watched some youtube videos… what could go wrong. Here I am now operating 10 hives on my backyard, 20 hives in PA and 4 hives in NH.

All on family property with some family help, but i take care of all of the logistics, supplies, sales, and where needed building out hive boxes, frames, and other components. At the end of every season I say “this is it, we don't need any more bees”… and with the beginning of each new season I split what i can and add more variety to the apiary.

Needless to say, the thought of supporting the family by working strictly as a beekeeper crossed my mind many times, and today by accident I've run into your ad.

I am a father of 2 and I am hoping to get both of mi kids into the hobby as well. Zuzanna at the age of 5 and Alexander at 4 love extracting honey and watching the bees crawl in the supers, as well as learning about the fascinating world of bees.

Brookfield Ametek - manufacturing manager for 5 years. Responsible for scheduling and executing all production related duties. Making sure materials are available, implementing lean practices and just in time production systems. Since joining the company we've been growing sales over 10% you, increases on time delivery from 79% to 92% (and growing). Currently working on inventory reduction and increasing operating margins (which are already pretty high).

Randolph Engineering - Operations Manager for 8 years. Helped grow the company from $4 million sales/year to over $20 million. Improved on time delivery to 95%, reduced lead times from, and helped make the business very profitable. To this day, the infrastructure that we've implemented working as a team is still in practice - because it was built by the people, for the people, with our guidance.

Lab Medical Manufacturing - worked here for 4 years and learned everything I've later implemented in other work places. Enjoyed working in manufacturing of medical devices, where we have also increased sales and improved performance year over year.

I have a Master's Degree in Business Management, where I've focused on Operations.

Bachelors and Associates in Business Administration.
