I am a rising senior student-athlete at Wesleyan University, where I am double majoring in Government and Psychology. I am a driven, passionate individual who is always eager to improve and perform to my absolute best. I am interested in a career in politics, national security, and criminal justice; however, I am open to exploring different paths that pique my interest as well.
I possess effective organizational and communication skills and am well-versed in academic and informal writing as well as legal writing. From past professional experience, I have strong investigative and analytical abilities.
As an intern for the Fulton County DA's Office, I aligned with the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative Unit (SAKI). I worked closely with attorneys, crime analysts, victim-witness advocates, and investigators to prosecute sexual offenders identified through testing DNA in sexual assault kits from cold cases. My assignments included gathering investigative evidence, assisting in the build-up of SAKI's indicted cases, assessing police reports with untested rape kits, and assisting in outcry witness interactions.
I observed firsthand local, state, and federal government interactions as SAKI works closely with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigations to provide victims the justice they deserve. In addition to my roles within SAKI, I took part in case intake in which I worked up 10 cases to be indicted and presented in front of a grand jury. This process involved gathering evidence to provide probable cause and writing out indictments.
I developed an understanding of the workings of a courtroom by attending multiple trials, plea hearings, bond hearings, and participating in a mock trial.
I am pursuing a BA in Government and Psychology from Wesleyan University and am on track to graduate in the Spring of 2026. I have taken courses including but not limited to American Government and Politics, Quantitative Data Analysis, Racial and Ethnic Politics, National Security State, Congressional Policy Making, Elementary Statistics, Introduction to Intl.
Law, Terrorism and Counterterrorism, Human Trafficking, and Partners and Rivals: EU-US Relations. These courses have provided me with foundational knowledge in politics, criminal justice, and psychology and have also equipped me with skills applicable to all career paths.
