A passionate animal advocate and experienced event professional, I recently transitioned to Western North Carolina with a desire to move from corporate leadership into purpose-driven nonprofit work. I’m seeking a meaningful role where I can apply my strengths in event coordination, partnership development, and community outreach to support Asheville Humane Society’s mission and the well-being of animals in our region.
As a lifelong animal advocate and experienced event professional, I was thrilled to discover the Events Coordinator opportunity with Asheville Humane Society. Your mission—to ensure every animal has the quality of life they deserve—deeply aligns with my own values. After relocating to Asheville to establish long-term roots and shift from executive-level commercial roles into purpose-driven nonprofit work, I immediately recognized how closely my skills and passions fit this role.
For over 15 years, I’ve led hospitality and community events that bring people together through meaningful experiences. From planning large-scale hotel fundraisers to coordinating local partnerships and festival vendor teams, I’ve developed a strong foundation in project management, donor relations, and storytelling. My hands-on volunteer experience with Central Ohio Pug Rescue and Buckeye Bulldog Rescue has also given me a deep appreciation for the compassion, patience, and advocacy required to make a tangible difference in animal welfare.
At my core, I am motivated by purpose-driven work that builds community and supports connection. I’m comfortable balancing the logistical demands of planning and budgeting with the heart of the mission—creating experiences that inspire generosity and joy. I would be honored to bring my background in events, fundraising, and rescue work to your team at Asheville Humane Society, helping advance your vision for a more humane community for both pets and the people who love them.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I would love the opportunity to discuss how my event and partnership experience can help strengthen AHS’s fundraising and community engagement efforts.
I’ve completed extensive certifications in communications, brand management, financial and revenue strategy, and trauma-informed education. I’m currently pursuing a two-year Life Coaching certification to expand my ability to support individuals and communities through evidence-based, compassionate approaches.
