- Conducted onsite research at Boise State University’s Albertsons Library searching various mining and mineral periodicals,
for articles pertaining to the extraction and processing of Potash and its uses.
- Scanned relevant articles in these mining journals using the free Adobe Scanner application for smartphones and sent them to Steven’s Historical Research Associates.
- Studied primary sources relating to the early to late fur trade on the Upper Missouri River to identify evidence of financial transactions, whether with coin or in trade, between the regional tribes and Euromerican trappers and traders in relation to the use of or travel on the river.
- Generated summaries in an Excel spreadsheet for each pertinent source, explaining its connection to the economic dealings on the Upper Missouri and the nature of the interaction, making sure to note page numbers, specific paragraphs, and passages.

- Carried out onsite research at the Boise State University special collection within the Senator Frank Church Collection to identify documents pertaining to the senator’s investigation into abuses of power and assassinations during the Central
