I have been a nurse for 23 years and teaching within the healthcare field for 20 years.
I graduated from St Luke's School of nursing 2000. I achieved my RN to BSN in 2002, my MSN as a nurse educator in 2006, and an EDd with a focus on higher education management and leadership in 2017.
My teaching experience ranges from medical assisting, associated RN, and bachelor's RN programs. I have extensive experience as a Simulation expert. I have pioneered several nursing simulation programs.
Presently I am the director of a medical assistant program at a community college and have a history of teaching for both ADN and BSN programs.
Before nursing, I was a medical assistant and worked as the head MA for a Mohs surgical unit within a dermatology practice. As an RN I worked in surgery, private practice, long-term care, and physician's assistant for cardiac patients.
My recent education was a doctoral degree (2017) with a focus on higher education management and leadership from Grand Canyon University
