Third Grade Teacher | August 2015 – May 2018
Collaborated with administrators and my grade-level team to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction, thus preparing students for standardized tests and ensuring that students mastered fundamental concepts to prepare them for future academic challenges.
Kindergarten Teacher | 2013 – 2015
Provided standards-aligned instruction for Kindergarten students, thus laying the foundation for future academic achievement.

As Early Childhood/Preschool teacher, I developed an Early Childhood academic and skills curriculum and assessment program that prepared young children for the future challenges of Elementary School.

As First Grade Teacher, I worked to ensure students had a strong foundation in literacy and math skills for future academic growth. I was honored to be the secretary of the school's Academic Council for one year.
Second, Third, and First Grade Teacher | August 2000 – December 2002
Banks Elementary, now permanently closed, was a school in decline with attendance and student academic achievement. I received amazing professional development as a new teacher. Because of the withering attendance, we would lose teachers to other schools, thus causing classes to be combined. This is why I taught so many different grade levels (2nd, 3rd, and 1st).
Seventh and Eighth Grade English, Science, Reading and Enrichment Teacher | August 1999 – June 2000
I was hired to take a position for a teacher on sabbatical. I was responsible for teaching 7th and 8th grade Reading, English, Science, and Enrichment. I was also the Cheerleader Sponsor. This was my first year teaching, yet my students scored in the 94th percentile on the English LEAP standardized test.
