Maryn Towers

With a bachelor's in environmental economics and a minor in environmental policy, I am passionate about real world solutions to climate problems. I am currently studying to obtain my master's in business management this upcoming summer of 2026. I excel at problem solving and finding cost effective solutions for business problems.

In my freshman year at Virginia Tech, I took on the role of an external operations manager for my LLC Innovate. In this position I managed a team to set up and manage important events and speakers for my LLC.

My senior year at Virginia Tech, I was asked to support my professor Mike Ellerbrock as a teaching assistant for his environmental development economics course. In this position, I helped the professor with any tasks he needed, along with coordinating the students for review sessions and answering any questions they may have about the material.

At Virginia Tech I graduated with my bachelor's in environmental economics, along with a minor in environmental policy and planning. I received this degree in three years instead of four.

Now at George Mason University, I am working towards completing my master's in business management with a specialization in corporate sustainability.
