Mason Strickland

I’m a newly registered EMT actively seeking an EMT position where I can begin building hands-on experience in emergency medical services. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona University with a degree in Communications and have spent the past several years working as a bartender at Yard House. Through that role, I developed strong skills in communication, teamwork, and staying calm under pressure—skills I’m eager to bring into the field of emergency care.

I’m motivated, dependable, and excited to start my career serving the community as an EMT.

I’ve worked at Yard House for the past several years, starting as a busser and quickly working my way up to server and bartender. Throughout my time there, I developed strong customer service, multitasking, and teamwork skills while consistently performing in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. This progression reflects my strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to learn quickly and take on increased responsibility.

I completed two years of coursework in Communications at Riverside Community College before transferring to Cal Poly Pomona University, where I finished my undergraduate degree. This academic path strengthened my communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills, providing a solid foundation for working effectively with diverse teams and the public.
