Maxwell Marquez

My name is Maxwell Marquez, I am from San Diego. I have a degree in cinema from San Francisco State University. I come from a long line of artists, I've been immersed in art since I was a child. Creating is my passion.

I have always loved stories, dramatic and fantastical tales that entail the lives of the misunderstood and misrepresented. I hope to encompass that in my journey as a filmmaker, I wish to document the beautiful journey of human beings, and there wants to create the best world for themselves and others. The human triumph and the human struggle.

I hope to try my hands in many trades of the art and film community, screenwriting, directing, production design, set design, cinematography and other tricks of the trade. In my career, I wish to collaborate with talented creative people to understand their image and put in on the screen for others to enjoy.

I have worked on dozens of sets during my attendance at San Francisco State University and California State University Monterey Bay. On these sets for short films, I have gathered a well rounded skill set for film productions, such as sound, Camera Operator, directer, editor, and producer.

My most relevant eduction was the capstone program at SF State, where I directed, edited, and produced my own short documentary, about San Franciscos Mission district after 2AM.
