I am an anlalytical writer for a pharmaceutical company. I am passionate about advancing medicine and working in the pharmaceutical industry. My hobbies include gardening, reading books, and hiking.

I majored in Biochemisty and worked as a Forensic Scientist where I confirmed drug analytes via Gas Chromatography. I then switched to a different company where I worked as a Lab Analyst for the Flow Cytometry department. In that position, I prepared blood samples and analyzed them on a Flow Cytometry instrument.

This position allowed for experience with the scientific process from start to finish. Samples were always recieved freshly drawn or lysed/fixed and frozen, and then Lab Analysts were responsible for running an Assay to stain antibodies to White Blood Cells. The final step was to process them on a Flow Cytometer Instrument and assess whether or not staining was present and if any documentation was necessary for sample quality.

This role did involve gating the histograms after to determine accurate data for Sponsor approval. I now work as an Analytical Writer where I draft Bioanalytical Lab Reports after Flow Cytometry studies are finished. I gather the summarizations of deviations and Investigations in which SOPs were deviated and then attach all the necessary data.

These reports get finalized and are sent as a final product to Sponsors per their contract.
