Megan Barcelo

I am a recent graduate of Grand Canyon University with my MSN in Nursing Education. I have a passion for promoting education and I have worked toward my degree with the hope to teach student nurses through evidence-based practice policies and procedures. I have been a staff nurse for 30 years with the majority of that time in the field of labor and delivery.

I have had the honor of helping patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum. Educating parents and families regarding newborn care has been an important part of my job, and I have always been a mentor and resource for novice nurses on my unit. I believe that excellence in nursing begins with a superb education and continuing education throughout one's nursing career.

I have worked in Maternal/Child Health at Underwood Memorial Hospital, Virtua Voorhees, and Inspira Elmer during my 30 years as a staff nurse. I have been nationally certified in Inpatient Obstetrics since 2013. I am certified in ACLS, BLS, and NRP and licensed to practice in New Jersey.

I graduated from Grand Canyon University on June 19, 2024 with an MSN in Nursing Education.
