At RSM, I've progressed from Associate to Senior Associate while working on more than 20 engagements and 3,000+ hours of audit work. I enjoy digging into financial information, figuring out why something doesn't tie, and finding a better way to get the work done.

I'm equally comfortable working through a complicated accounting issue, building an Excel solution, or sitting across the table from a client and explaining what I found. • Worked on 50+ audit engagements for public and private middle-market companies across construction, healthcare, banking, and products and services, with client revenues ranging from approximately $100 million to more than $1 billion.
• Completed or contributed to 20+ engagements and 3,000+ hours of audit work, gaining experience across virtually every area of the financial statements and the full audit lifecycle.
• Analyze financial data, investigate unexpected fluctuations and discrepancies, and trace issues back to their underlying causes rather than simply identifying that something is wrong.
• Evaluate accounting processes and internal controls, identify weaknesses or inefficiencies, and work with client accounting teams to develop practical solutions.
• Build Excel tools and standardized workpapers to make repetitive audit procedures more efficient and improve consistency across engagements.
• Use Excel, Alteryx, Power BI, IDEA, CaseWare, SAP, and Workday to analyze information, automate portions of recurring processes, and make large amounts of financial data easier to evaluate.
• Lead audit engagements and manage timelines, deliverables, and competing priorities while coordinating with both internal teams and client personnel.
• Regularly communicate directly with controllers, CFOs, accounting managers, and other senior client personnel. Have presented findings, answered questions, prepared materials, and participated in Board and Audit Committee meetings.
• Selected by clients for repeat engagements, with three clients specifically requesting that I return to their engagements, including one engagement where I served in a leadership role.

• Train and mentor interns and new hires on accounting, audit procedures, technology, and client work. Have trained 10+ individuals who subsequently joined RSM, several of whom now work under me or will be joining the firm.
• Created and organized a CPA study group within the San Antonio office to encourage collaboration and professional development.

• Tutored undergraduate students in accounting courses, breaking down difficult concepts and helping students understand the reasoning behind accounting problems rather than simply providing answers.
