I am a storyteller at heart. On a film set, I find satisfaction in watching a story evolve from the script to the screen, first shot to last, and as the final experience of watching the story falls into place. In the newsroom, I thrive on taking interviews and transforming them into a narrative that shares an experience, an opinion, and an idea in a way that takes the reader on a journey.

In every position I take, I bring an attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to create a full experience.

Lead Consultant - FedEx Print Office and Ship Center

(2024-03)

• Lead responsibility on all production projects, including consulting with customers, physical work on the production, and communication will all team members on updates and adjustments to the final order. Assist customers in choosing the best projects for their vision, as well as working within their budgets and adjusting for production times versus customer deadlines in order to grow production demand.
• Secondary responsibility on shipping and packing services, including assembly of packages for later packing/weighing; providing recommendations reflecting best pricing options and timing for customers; maintaining inventory of supplies to keep up with demand.
• Maintain leadership and cohesion between shifts, including updates on projects and shipping/packing orders, coordinating pick-ups and deliveries for customers and inter-store deliveries, and assisting in inventory counts/ordering and daily tasks across the storefront.

Store Consultant / Store Trainer - FedEx Print Office and Ship Center

• Consulted with customers on their printing and shipping needs, anticipating the best project specifications and providing suggestions to help realize the customer's vision.
• Trained new hires for multiple stores within the district, working with both my manager and the managers of other stores to ensure team cohesion across training periods and keeping both new hires and current team members up to date with changing guidelines.
• During COVID 19 updates, took charge during my store's operational changeover, as well as taking on additional responsible in inventory handling and scheduling needs while upper management was understaffed.

Editorial Intern, Corporate Communications - The Walt Disney Company

• Collaborated with editorial and D23 teams to consistently generate content for Disney's internal staff websites.
• Researched and collected relevant information for multiple weekly solo articles on d23.com; assisted on larger article work for D23 magazine as larger group projects.
• Attended premieres and company seminars to cover internal news and project releases.
• Partnered with fellow interns from different departments to generate a website for new hires as a group side project; interviewed team members for content and organized all information to be helpful to new employees.

Intern Columnist - College Magazine

• Pitched and wrote weekly relevant, college-oriented articles in the style of College Magazine, discussing details and projects with editors regularly.

Script Supervisor - Saint's Rest Film Set

(2016-07 - 2016-07)

• Assisted the film director and leads of other departments by creating notes about each section of film shooting, including sound, lighting, performances, and angles.
• Documented costume changes, details of actor looks, and movement/changes to set pieces in order to avoid continuity errors between scenes.
• Compiled all daily notes to send to overseas editors in order to maintain film deadlines.

Metro Reporter - The Daily Iowan Newspaper

(2013-08 - 2014-04)

• Pitched multiple story ideas weekly and covered two to three stories per paper issue
• Closely followed the reconstruction efforts being undertaken due to the flood of 2008 as main area of focus; aided fellow writers during election season to cover all angles and keep stories timely.
