Safety Manager – Owners Rep at Clearway Energy (2022-10 – 2023-11)

Project safety on site as an Owners rep for Clearway safety. Monitoring the EPC and sub-contractors to make sure they follow agreed upon Cal-OSHA, OSHA 1926, SSSP and contractual obligations.

• Completed daily field observations and presented them to Clearway corporate safety, project managers and the EPC
• Meeting and working with EPC safety personnel as they oversee safety for over 600 on site workers and discussing operations for the day and potential hazards
• Review of all submitted lift plans, SOP's, policy and procedures, and orientations materials to make sure they comply with the Owners expectations

Special Projects Safety Manager – Solar/Battery storage at Strata Clean Energy (2021-07 – 2022-10)

Safety manager of the North Carolina/Virginia region for QF (Qualifying Facility) Solar farms and soon-to-be battery storage. Implement our site-specific safety plans and make sure our subcontractors adhere to them.

• Make daily rounds to multiple sites to observe, audit and manage the safety of our sub-contractors
• Hold our subcontract safety managers to the Strata standards set forth and help them in any way needed to observe and implement the Strata Safety culture
• Teach workers that safety isn't about "getting them" making them understand the importance of safety
• Create and give onsite safety orientation, review, and make suggestions to JSA's, and have safety stand-downs when I feel they may be needed
• Re-enforced Safety Standups when positive culture is observed and recognized
