I have a strong eye for detail and use it judiciously, taking into consideration a publication’s, book’s or article’s content, context and audience. I am the go-to person for grammar and style questions and have written and developed style guides for publications as diverse as Computer Shopper, Soap Opera Weekly, and Martha Stewart: The Catalog for Living.
I am also an award-winning New York-based entertainment journalist and author. My books include the best-selling Lucy A to Z: The Lucille Ball Encyclopedia and The ABC Movie of the Week Companion.
My print, digital, and Web publishing career includes managing weekly and monthly magazines, websites, and tablets, and writing and editing product reviews, blogs, daily tweets, email newsletters, features, and columns, for top-tier publishing firms, nonprofits, ad agencies and high-tech companies.
As a copy editor, I read pages for clarity and logic, suggesting subtle changes in headlines and text that preserve the writer’s voice and echo the publication's style. I work with keen attention to detail under pressure, have a clear, concise writing style, and learn quickly. I work equally well independently and as part of a team.
