Safety and Health Officer, Mr. Keys works directly with the Corporate Safety Officer to develop and implement the Site-Specific Safety Plans, Accident Prevention Plans, and Activity Hazard Analyses in accordance with Safety and Health Regulations. His broad training and experience will be an asset to the project's safe success.
Mr. Keys is responsible for daily enforcement of the safety program. This includes ensuring that jobsite personnel perform tasks in a safe manner, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and are aware of potential hazards.
He also, as required, ensures that personnel abide by the precautionary measures identified in the Activity Hazard Analysis and that daily jobsite and equipment inspections are conducted in order to identify any potential safety risks and provide corrective measures. He conducts and/or organizes safety and other training courses on a regular basis, and will do so for this project as well, further reinforcing Stronghold's zero-tolerance policy for jobsite injuries.
Site Safety Health Officer - ARMY Corp of Engineers - Edwards Air Force Base Lancaster
This Design Build Project was completed under the supervision of ARMY Corp of Engineers. The renovation included the electrical upgrade to a 3-story barrack.
Site Safety Health Officer - NAVFAC
This Design Build interior renovation project called for the interior renovation and upgrade to the electrical panels and HVAC systems as well as new framing, drywall, flooring, and paint. The project required meticulous planning and lock-out, tag-out procedures to be implemented.
Quality Control Manager, Site Superintendent, Site Safety Officer - Veterans Hospital WLA BLDG 220
This Design Build project called for the remodel of a 7,000 square foot historical building. In addition to the interior remodel of the 4-story occupied building, the exterior was also upgraded with 2 new parking lots. The exterior was weather proofed calling for an excavation of 18-feet at the base of the building.
Safe trenching procedures were vital to the successful completion of the project. Interior scope of work included hardwood flooring, fire sprinkler system, light fixtures, T-Bar ceiling, new carpet, and restrooms.
Quality Control Manager, Site Superintendent, Site Safety Officer - Naval Operation Support Center
This Design Build Project called, first, for the demolition of the interior portion of a 22,000 square foot building. This was accomplished in 3 phases due to building being occupied during construction. The renovation included the installation of a new fire sprinkler system and light fixtures, T-Bar ceiling, new carpet, and restrooms.
Site Safety and Health Officer - Army Corp of Engineers - March Air Force Base
This Design Build Project for the Army Corp of Engineers called for the removal and replacement of the existing HVAC, electrical, and ceilings systems of Building 802 at the March Air Force Base in California. The occupied building also required new carpet and texture/paint in the interior of the building. Mr. Keys received a Letter of Recommendation from Col. Douglas Hall, USAF and received a coin of commendation.
Site Safety and Health Officer - SPAWAR - Old Town San Diego, California
This Design Build Project for the NAVFAC called for the upgrade of the SCIF system in Lab 214 of the SPAWAR building in Old Town San Diego, California. The project installed new 1,840 square foot server room including steel stud framing, Quiet Rock, new HVAC, and fire sprinkler systems. Finishes included new painted and extending the existing gypsum board wall below computer floor and from top of wall to bottom of concrete deck.
Site Superintendent, Site Safety Health Officer, Quality Control Manager - Marines Corps Logistics Base, Upgrade Utilities on Hardstand Bldg. 573
This composite Design Build Project called for the demolition and upgrade to the utility infrastructure on the southeast corner of the hardstand at building 573. The scope of work included installing a utility substation as well as sewer and water connections to the IT facility. Additional work features included saw, break, and removal of concrete slab on grade, which measured approximately 2500 square feet.
Other areas included excavation and construction of manhole junction structure, which was connected to existing high pressure natural gas line. With this project the 8-story building exterior required scaffolding and fall protection procedures.
Site Safety and Health Officer - VA Hospital Painting Interior Courts, La Jolla, CA
This Design Build Project also called for scaffolding on a 6-story building in order to work on the exterior of interior pods 4 areas. Scope of work included sawed, break, and removal of existing plaster and the installation of expansion metal and patching of demolished areas with cement. Finishes included painting with elast-o-meric over 80,000 square feet area.
