Experience
Chief Technical Architect - SEPHEID - Chicago, IL
(2024-09)
Sepheid is a 501(c)(3) Organization formed in 2024 by leaders in the non-profit and AI industry with an urgent mission to add the non-profit voice to the GAI revolution. We are committed to making GAI technologies accessible and affordable for non-profit organizations and the people they serve. Our client projects include:
- Agentic AI Co-Worker Platform for Nonprofit Organizations (2026-03 - present): Created a multi-agent AI co-worker prototype for dynamically generating role-specific AI co-workers in support of the nonprofit organizations we serve. The system uses a tiered orchestration architecture with specialized agents, a shared context layer, and a self-monitoring tier that reports directly to the human operator — enabling staff to operate with AI-augmented depth across domains beyond their direct experience
- This initiative doubles as a strategic catalyst to drive the development of agentic standards and protocols through collaborative engagement with the nonprofit community and open-source ecosystem — establishing interoperable frameworks that ensure nonprofits have a voice in shaping how AI agents communicate, coordinate, and serve mission-driven organizations.
- The platform uses structured analytical outputs that preserve human decision authority while the AI co-worker covers the full operational surface of the role. The shared context layer persists and travels with the user across tools, roles, and institutions — advancing a model where AI-generated knowledge and organizational memory become portable rather than locked inside any single platform.
- Tools-competition.org (2025-01 - present): Generative AI subject matter expert for evaluating funding proposals between $50,000 and $300,000 for innovative edtech solutions. Partnered with NORC’s (University of Chicago) Senior Vice President of the Education Division.
- tools-competition.org is sponsored by a consortium of Philanthropic Organizations, including: The Walton Family Foundation, The Schmidt Foundation and The Oak Foundation.
- Emergency Nurses Association (2024-10 - 2025-07): Developed “AskAnita”, a friendly AI Chat-bot designed to give conversational information about the organization to its members, hospital administrators and employees.
- Served as GenAI Solution SME to the organization's Technical Director and CEO to help create a product development roadmap for the Chat bot that aligns with their strategic business objectives.
- On-going GenAI architect, lead developer and senior technical SME for the RAG-based, Generative AI chatbot. Technologies heavily used include: Python, Amazon Bedrock, OpenSearch Knowledge Bases, Lang Chain and AWS Services, such as S3 and Lambda.
- Partnered with AWS’ Non-Profit Team to train the organization’s developers and technical managers in GenAI solution development using Amazon Bedrock and supporting AWS tools and services. The event was on-sight at ENA, and Amazon Bedrock architects were flown in.
