I am a three-sport athlete in Suffolk University's honors program with a 3.6 GPA. As an accounting major with a minor in Big Data, I am currently looking for an accounting internship that will allow me to work with real-world numbers and help me to gain experience for my career.
Having worked for over a year and a half as a waitress I am extremely accustomed to fast fast-faced paced environments where the perfection of minor tasks makes a considerable difference. I pay very close attention to detail while allowing myself the necessary time to complete all of my responsibilities. I have mastered memorization having to adjust to seasonal menu changes and occasional specials.
Through my education, I completed a project for my Information Systems and Operations Management course where I extracted data via Google Trends from 50 different countries based on their Coronavirus-related searches. Aligning this data with daily covid cases per country, I used this to generate and compare trend analyses through regression charts. Then, I tested the data's relevance to a specific country's characteristics such as population or climate.
I later compared individual country's results in order to determine if these factors affected spikes in covid cases.
As a second-semester junior, I have completed courses such as Intermediate Accounting I, Cost Accounting, and Managerial Accounting. This semester I am taking classes in Federal Taxation and Intermediate Accounting II.
