- Processes and preserves specimens following instructions in procedures or laboratory information system.
- Tracks specimens in laboratory Epic information system to be sent to core laboratory for testing.
- Reports test results in laboratory information Epic system and maintains required documentation of results.
- Always keeping turnaround time expectations to meet department goals and demonstrate clerical accuracy when reporting data.
- Review and resolves incomplete and/or pending logs before end of my shift.
- Order and maintain laboratory supplies using PeopleSoft
- Always following safety policies, life safety policies, and infection control procedures for self, patients, and others at all times.
- Participates in training and teaching of new staff, students, in the laboratory as needed.
- Complete all required competency, continuing education, and proficiency testing within the required timelines.
