The Challenge Leadership Academy Director is the facility administrator responsible for the Samuel F.
Academy. The Director provides strong leadership for all Challenge Leadership Academy staff to fully understand and implement the Vision, Mission and Core Values of the Juvenile Justice Center. Provides expert leadership in instituting effective juvenile justice theories and practices to include but not limited to integrating innovative, evidence based and best practices into service delivery and policies and procedures.
The Director oversees the unit's $3,000.000.00 annual budget. Establishes and maintains effective collaborations and working relationships with co-workers, court personnel, county officials, governmental agencies, outside organizations and the public. As a Probation Officer and a Director of Corrections I’ve operated as a subservient leader ensuring subordinates and coworkers thrived in their positions as I worked alongside them providing guidance and support.
