Thorough knowledge of all entry types including but not limited to - Formal, Informal, Warehouse Entry/Withdrawal, Carnets, TIB, IT, IE, ADD/CVD & T&E.
- Review shipment ISF data and submit within the regulatory timeline and manage exceptions as required.
- Assists importers with tariff classification.
- Customs clearance of air, ocean, truck, and rail shipments.
- Maintain & update importers' profiles & SOP.
- Coordinate timely clearance and delivery of imported cargo based on company and customer service commitment standards; communicate with customers to ensure proper handling of goods, and keep customers advised of changes in import regulations, tariff, and customs bond requirements.
- Perform audit review on all brokerage files.
- Post summary correction.
- Daily management of duty payments -ACH account.
- Process all entries via ABI in a compliant manner so that all CBP and other government agency requirements are fulfilled.
- Ensures compliance regarding U.S. Government regulatory agencies such as FDA, EPA, USFWS, DOT, FCC & USDA.
- Coordinates shipments from airline, ocean piers and CFS (container freight station) to customer/consignee destination.
- Capable of handling billing clients/ approval of vendor invoices.
- Maintains knowledge of regulations and ensures complete compliance with all legal requirements and corporate policies and procedures.
- Coordinates shipping details with U.S. forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, and agents.
- Maintains communication with customers, carriers, and vendors.
- Resolves problems (i.e. billing, tracing shipments) and handles customer concerns.
- Coordinates pick-ups and invoices files.
- Communicate with specific offices, departments, and teams on all issues affecting customs brokerage.
- Manage the customers' experience and work to ensure a happy and positive review.
- Serves as the customer service liaison between the company and the customer(s).
- Examine documents including invoices, bills of landing, and shipping statements to ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.
