I worked as an ETF Trading Analyst at Virtu Financial from July 2022 to December 2022. During my time there, I had the opportunity to work with the quantitative research team to develop tools to automate trading workflows. I was also responsible for executing ETF basket arbitrage strategies and covering corporate actions arbitrage strategies, while ensuring optimal hedging of positions across different asset classes.
I had specialized experience dealing with daily trade activity, including trade entry, allocations, verification, and confirmation, as well as maintaining appropriate risk and margin levels, monitoring and managing corporate actions, reconciling and settling trading accounts, wire transfers, and all pending/failing DVP/RVP transactions. Additionally, I was responsible for reconciling daily P&L, positions, and FX trades. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience that helped me gain valuable skills and knowledge in the financial trading industry.
I completed my Master of Science in Financial Mathematics with a major in Financial Analytics at the Stevens Institute of Technology, School of Business in August 2022. Throughout the program, I maintained a GPA of 3.92 and was honored to receive the Provost Master's Scholarship. The program provided me with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in financial data science, probability theory for finance, pricing and hedging, market microstructure and trading strategies, Bloomberg, statistical learning for finance, quantitative hedge fund strategies, time series analysis, and financial risk management.
The coursework was challenging yet rewarding, and I gained a deeper understanding of the financial industry and its intricate workings. Overall, my graduate education has provided me with the foundation and tools to excel in a career in financial analysis and trading.
